# Settings

To control the application behavior, you can use the Settings menu. Go to "Tools -> Settings" to configure the parameters. To change hotkeys, use "Tools -> Hotkey settings".

The Settings menu looks like

It includes the following options:

#### Load Previous Session

Automatically starts the application from the state it was closed the previous time. Otherwise, creates a new session.

#### Mute New Tabs

Mutes audio for new tabs after initialization.

#### Auto Naming for Capturing

Automatically sets the name of the recorded videos using the current date, time, and name of the source.

#### No Signal Image

Sets an image to replace the "No Video" image when there is no signal on the input source.

#### Capture to (default)

Sets the default folder for recordings

#### Post-Capturing Actions

Sets extra actions for the recorded files. With these options, you can copy or move the recorded files to a target folder, and also create sub-folders for better sorting of the recorded videos.

#### Sync Stop for all tabs

Sets synchronous stop for multi-source synchronous recordings

#### Optimize performance on Multiview

Multiview can run in full-quality mode when the video is smooth. This is nice to monitor, but it affects the overall performance of the application, so for mission-critical recordings/playouts when you need multiview to control all the signals at once, it is recommended to optimize the performance (enable this option) - in this case the multiview shows fewer frames per seconds but saves a lot of system resources for actual video processing.

#### Default Background

Sets the default background for all the playback tabs (color bars, solid colors, static images, etc)

#### Close the application when last tab is closed

Sets if the application should be closed with the last tab closed.
